WALNUT CRUNCH BROWNIES



BROWNIE LAYER:
4 squares BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour

WALNUT TOPPING:
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 TBSP flour
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350.  Microwave unsweetened chocolate and 3/4 cup butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH for 2 minutes or until butter is melted.  Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

Stir granulated sugar into melted chocolate mixture.  Mix in 4 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla until well blended. Stir in 1 cup flour.  Spread in greased 9 X 13 pan.

Microwave 1/4 cup butter and brown sugar in same bowl on HIGH 1 minute or until butter is melted.  Stir in 2 eggs, 2 TBSP flour and 1 tsp vanilla until completely mixed.  Stir in walnuts.  Spread mixture evenly over brownie batter.

Bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick/knife stabbed gently (oxymoron?) into the middle comes out with fudgy crumbs.  DO NOT OVERBAKE!  Cool in pan, cut in squares.
